GM Supplier of the Year

In 2000 we received General Motors' Supplier of the Year award in recognition of HIROTEC's quality, service, technology and pricing. This award was introduced by GM in 1992 in order to recognize supplier excellence in the areas of purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics. Since first receiving the award in 2000, HIROTEC group has continued to be receive this award.

FORD World Excellence Award

We received the World Excellence Award from Ford in 2000 for press processing and door assembly. This award is given by Ford once per year to honor suppliers for meeting specific quality, cost and delivery standards.

Mazda Supplier of Excellence Award

In 2000 HIROTEC was awarded the Certificate of Quality Assurance from Mazda. This award is given in recognition of suppliers who have made large contributions for quality and quality improvement activities. In addition to this award, HIROTEC also received Mazda's Supplier of Excellence Award in recognition for quality, technological strength and continuous performance.

World record in Quick Die Change Competition

At "Automotive Industry" magazine's sixth Die Change Challenge in 1991, HIROTEC broke the world record for die change with a time of 87 seconds. This is a unique challenge held between large body panel manufacturers to gauge which company has the quickest die change technology. HIROTEC was able to cut its previous years' time by more than one minute and obtain the world record with the introduction of the newly developed HQDC (HIROTEC Quick Die Changer) technology.
